I’ll be the first to admit I was slightly sceptical of a trip to Uluru, immediately imagining a commercialised area heaving with tourists and selfie sticks. But upon entering Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, my assumptions were instantly put to one side, and we embarked upon what I can only describe as a magical weekend away in what felt like a different planet.
If you’re considering a long weekend in Orange, don’t think twice. Just a 3 and a half hour scenic drive from Sydney and you’ll be in the beautiful rolling hills of Orange, lined with vineyards, orchards and up and coming restaurants. Autumn is the time to go – a beautiful filter of oranges, reds and yellows take over and create stunning countryside scenery to feast your eyes on.
Tasmania is often described as a mini New Zealand – beautiful mountains, crystal clear lakes, and roads that disappear into a horizon of rolling hills and beautiful countryside. We’ve been lucky enough to visit both Tasmania and New Zealand, and whilst they’re both stunning destinations, there’s something very special about Tasmania which will grab you and make you never want to go home.
